Article 1. Registration for De Ronde Venen Marathon and the 10 km run is personal. Participation is only possible under your own name and the start number corresponding to that name. You can only transfer the race number to another person if the organization agrees.
Article 2. The Athletics Union advice for the minimum age for participants in:
The Ronde Venen Marathon is 20 years old;
The Duo Marathon is 18 years old;
The 10 km run is 14 years old.
Article 3. If you cancel your participation after pre-registration, this must be done by e-mail or in writing to the organization (registreren@derondevenenmarathon.nl) under the following conditions:
Refunds will be made up to and including 16 October, with a deduction of € 10 administration costs;
As of October 17, 2019, no registration fee will be refunded.
Article 4. Everyone participates at their own risk and accountability. The organization assumes no liability for loss or damage to personal property or for personal injury during the course.
Article 5. Participants must take into account that the course is not completely car-free. During the course, they must comply with the rules of the Road Traffic Act and the Traffic Rules and Traffic Signs Regulations. This does not apply if expressly stated in situations in which the organization has been granted an exemption.
Article 6. Each participant must wear his start number in full legibility on the chest. Each participant must run with the chip made available by the organization.
Article 7. The organization reserves the right to change the route, the start and / or finish times and / or the start places or to cancel the course in whole or in part if extreme weather conditions, force majeure situations or calamities make this reasonably necessary. Enrolled participants will receive their registration fee back, with a deduction of € 10 administration costs. No claim can be made for compensation of any (in) material damage. If the event is canceled for one of the above reasons, the organization will not set a new date.
Article 8. The result is determined by the order of entry (gross time). The limit on the entire marathon is 5.30 hours. The limit on the 10 km is 1 hour 30 minutes.
Article 9. The competition organizers may:
Remove from race if, in her opinion, they are likely to finish outside the limit;
Disqualify and withdraw from the competition;
Exclude from (further) participation for medical reasons.
Article 10. Running is only open to runners. It is not allowed to participate in a wheelchair. Participants are not allowed to walk with a buggy, baby jogger or any other means of baby transport. It is also not allowed to bring dogs – on a lead or not. Also, participants may not be accompanied by one or more persons by bicycle or other means of transport, unless they have permission from the competition management. Participants in the Duo Marathon are allowed by the race management to use a bicycle.
Article 11. Participants agree that:
The organization uses photo or film images on which participants are participating to promote the course by, for example, placing these images on the internet and / or social media or having them printed in newspapers and magazines. Participants cannot claim compensation for this.

Article 12. By participating you submit yourself as a participant in these regulations. Participants who do not meet the requirements of the regulations will be disqualified. Their name and time are not included in the rankings.
